Weekly meet-up
A welcoming weekly space for parents and children to meet other families, have a chat, and feel part of a local community.
From those first weeks with a new baby to the early years that follow, Get On Downs brings families together through local connection, practical guidance and shared experiences that help life feel a little less overwhelming.
The early years can bring a lot of questions, new routines and moments that feel both joyful and uncertain. Get On Downs is here to help families feel more connected, more informed and more supported as they find their feet.
At the heart of the charity is a regular weekly meet-up, with wider help growing around it through shared experiences, useful sessions, practical guidance and opportunities for families to spend time with others who understand.
Whether someone is looking for support around diagnosis, the early years or as children grow older, Get On Downs helps people find the information, connection and local support that feels most relevant to them.

Helpful sessions focused on early communication, with room for support such as speech and language guidance and other communication-based activities.
Small moments of support, like wellbeing or massage-style sessions, that give parents a chance to pause, connect and feel looked after too.
Practical guidance with things like forms, EHCPs and other early next steps that can otherwise feel daunting to manage alone.
We know there can be a lot to take in, especially around diagnosis and the early years. Our resources page brings together trusted organisations, useful guidance and support services in one place.
From local groups to national charities and practical information, we want to make it easier for families to find the right support at the right time.
There is always something happening at Get On Downs, from local meet-ups and community events to positive updates that celebrate the people and families in our community.
Our weekly support group brings together people with Down's syndrome, parents, carers and families from across Sutton and the surrounding area. Come along, meet others and find a little bit of breathing space.
A gentle community walk through Sutton to raise funds for the weekly support group and the wider work we do for families across the area.
